Athiya Shetty is an Indian actress who appears in Hindi films of Bollywood. Born to actor Sunil Shetty, she wanted to follow her father's step in acting since a very young age after accompanied him to various shooting locations. Athiya Shetty is the daughter of Actor and Producer Suniel Shetty and Mana Shetty. Mana Shettyis the creative director of R House Furnishing Solutions Pvt. Ltd. and director of S2 Realty Developers Pvt. Ltd. Athiya has very supportive parents when it comes to her career choosing. They supported her decision of taking up acting and she was enrolled in a renowned filmmaking institute at New York some years ago. She has made her Bollywood debut with Nikhil Advani's movie Hero. Star kid Athiya Shetty was in New York Film Academy(NYFA) studying 'Filmmaking & Liberal Arts'. Suniel Shetty as a responsible father has no qualms about his daughter wanting to try acting but his only concern is if Athiya will be able to handle the pressing demands of the industry. Athiya Shetty and Sooraj Pancholi made their bollywood debut with the film Hero produced by Salman Khan. The movie has released on September 11, 2015. Both her parent accepted her decision and thus sent her to the prestigious Institute of filmmaking based in New York. Accordingly when she returned she got the chance to make her debut in Salman Khan’s production movie called hero, which is directed by Nikhil Advani. Being a star kid, she went straight to the prestigious filmmaking institute called NYFA (New York Film Acadmey). She is making her debut with another novice called Sooraj Pancholi who is also making his innings in Bollywood with the movie Hero.
Now, talking about Athiya upcoming movie Hero in which she is making her debut, it is the remake of old classic of Subhash Ghai with the same title. The classic had Jackies Shroff and Meenashi Sheshadri in the lead roles. Salman Khan wanted to do a remake of this classic of 1983 with new faces. Hence the two star kids turned out to be his choice. As per reports, she is very much inspired by character of Kareena Kapoor called Geet in the film Jab We Met directed by Imtiyaz Ali.
