Zarine Khan is an Indian actress and model who mainly works in the Hindi film industry, though has also appeared in Tamil and Punjabi language films. Zarine Khan (born 14 May 1984 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India) is an Indian actress and model who appears in Bollywood films. She started her acting career in 2010 with the film Veer, starring Salman Khan.

Khan was born to a Muslim Pathan family in Mumbai. When she was in college she weighed almost 100 kgs. Although she had never planned to be model, she began to focus on losing weight and getting into shape. She gave up sweets and started going to the gym, eventually losing a large amount of weight. Khan was forced to abandon her education while in college and begin working due to the financial troubles of her family. With no marketable skills to rely on, she tried her hand at modeling. Khan did quite a few small assignments that fetched her enough money to run the house.

She received her entry into acting when she was visiting the set of Yuvraaj at Subhash Ghai's film school Whistling Woods. Salman Khan noticed her and decided to cast her for his film Veer because "she looks the character - the sweet princess she is playing in Veer". After a screen test, Khan was confirmed for the role of Princess Yashodhara. She gained eight kilos in order to be more convincing as a 19th century princess. She made her screen debut in Anil Sharma’s 2010 period film Veer, playing the lead role. For her performance, she received a Zee Cine Award for Best Female Debut.

In 2011, she starred in the film Ready, which became the highest-grossing Bollywood film of the year. She then starred in another box-office hit the following year, playing JLo in the film Housefull 2.

She made her debut in the Tamil film Naan Rajavaga Pogiren in the late 2013. She stars in the upcoming film Partner 2 and in the Tamil film Karikalan. Zarine Khan is an Indian film acterss, who has started her career by playing the role of a princess Yashodhara in Salman Khan starrer flick Veer. She also made her appearance in an item number named Character Dheela sung by Neeraj Sridhar in the movie Ready. She earned commercial success in Bollywood with Sajid Khan's Housefull 2. She has also worked in some Tamil and Punjabi films. Now she will soon be seen in upcoming thriller movie Hate Story 3.  She has completed her intermediate at Rizvi College of Science, Mumbai. However due to certain financial problems she could not complete her education and started her earnings. With no marketable skills to rely on, she tried her hand at modelling. She did quite a few small assignments that fetched her enough money to run the house. She has participated in a number of concerts and award ceremonies. Hate Story 2 sequel, Hate Story 3 is a 2015 thriller film which is directed by Vishal Pandaya. The film features Karan Singh Grover and Sharman Joshi as male leads. After a long time span actress Zarine khan is seen in female lead along with Daisy Shah. Zarine khan is seen in the role as Siya Deewan. When in college, she weighed almost 100 kgs. After shaping up, she had to gain 8 kgs in order to be more convincing as a 19th century princess for Veer.  She was discovered by Salman Khan on the sets ofYuvvraaj. Her uncanny resemblance to Katrina Kaif is hard to ignore.

Zarine made her Bollywood debut opposite the Salman Khan starrer Veer in 2010. The movie didn’t do well at the box-office. In 2011 she did an item number in Salman Khan’s Ready. Her upcoming film is Sajid Khan’s Housefull 2. Zarine Khan was the first spotted face by the superstar of Indian cinema named Salman Khan. She made her debut in 201o, in movie named Veer opposite to Salman. She got nominated as best female Debut of the year in Zee cine awards. She was rewarded with extreme popularity when she made her appearance in an item number named Character Dheela sung by Neeraj Sridhar in the movie named ready. After the release of her movie named Veer in 2010, her performance was praised all over the film industry by the critics. She appeared in a stunning look with a gorgeous princess, she also gained eight Kilograms of her weight to appear as princess.

Zarine khan’s second release of Bollywood was Housefull 2 directed by Sajid Khan.

The movie later on was known to be the highest revenue collecting moving in 2012 with this sequel version. Her opposite characters in this movie included Akshay Kumar, Ritesh Deshmukh and John Abraham. She was appraised amazingly by the movie experts of the Bollywood. Zarine appeared in several Telugu and Tamil item numbers and movies after her debut in Bollywood.

Currently after the year 2013 and further Zarine Khan have many upcoming projects to get released in theatres. She is shooting for the next sequel version of David Dhawan’s movie named Partner 2 opposite to Salman Khan, Govinda and Sanjay Dutt. She is also working a project of Remo D Souza named Amar Must Die partnering Rajeev Khandelwal. She would also appear in her first debut Punjabi movie named Jatt James Bond opposite to Gippy Grewal.
