Prabhas is an Indian film actor who works in Telugu cinema.Prabhas Raju Uppalapati popularly Known as "Prabhas" is an Indian film actor famous in tollywood. He is referred to as a "Young Rebal Star". He made his first debut with Eeshwar in 2002. Later on, he worked in a blockbuster movie "Varsham" which made him won "Santosham Best Young Performer Award" in 2004. He has also won "CineMAA Award for Best Actor-Jury" for the movie "Darling" in the year 2010. Recently, he was seen in the superhit flick Baahubali-The Beginning. Prabhas is the nephew of Telugu actor Uppalapati Krishnam Raju. Prabhas made his film debut with the 2002 drama film, Eshwar.Prabhas Raju Uppalapati , popularly known as Prabhas is a Tollywood actor and the nephew of Tollywood star and politician Krishnam Raju Uppalapati.

Prabhas's early movies, Eeshwar and Raghavendra, did not fare very well at the box office but he gained stardom with M.S. Raju's film, Varsham, opposite Trisha Krishnan, in 2004. After the success of Varsham, Adavi Ramudu and Chakram did not live up to the expectations of Prabhas's fans. However in September 2005, he made a comeback with the phenomenal blockbuster, Chatrapathhi, opposite actress Shriya Saran. 

Chatrapati was followed by unsuccessful films such as Pournami, Yogi, and Munna. Munna also starred Illeana opposite him. Despite these unsuccessful ventures, he continues to have a large, loyal fan base among telugu people, especially among females and young men. His latest film Bujjigadu got him much needed success.

In the year 2013, the movie “Mirchi” fetched highly positive response and it became a good blockbuster hit of the year.
