Kapil Sharma is an Indian stand-up comedian, actor, TV host, producer and singer. He started his career with serious theatre dramas. His childhood dream was to be a singer. In personal life Kapil is very present minded person. He is very fond of watching movies, singing and yes “comedy”. His father Mr. K. Sharma is a producer. He had made his place in the Forbes India Celebrity list for the first time in 2013 being ranked 93rd on the list and has moved up to 33rd in 2014.The great comedian Kapil Sharma was born on 2 April 1981. He started his career in comedy genre by participating in a reality show 'Ustaadon Ka Ustaad'. He was also the co-host for comedy show Chhote Miyan (2008) with Juhi Parmar on Colors and Great Indian Laughter Challenge Season IV with Chandan Prabhakar. In 2009, he also joined the comedy reality show Hans Baliye on star one, as a wild card entry along with Ginni as his partner. He co-hosted the first Punjabi international film awards in 2012 at Toronto. His childhood dream was to become a singer.

Kapil won Comedy Circus Ke Taansen and participated in Comedy Circus Ka Naya Daur with his partner Shweta Tiwari won again. Kapil has done serious roles in theatres but also got a perfect sense of timing when it comes to comedy. He is also a great singer and showed his talent in Star Ya Rockstar. He is more keen to do "stand-up comedy and movies" as he hates the way TV works.He is one of the tremendous standup comedians. He hails from Amritsar, Punjab, India. Kapil debuted the silver screen with the comedy show Ustaadon Ke Ustaad. He won the comedy series The great Indian Laughter Challenge season 3 as well as Comedy Circus Ke Tansen. Some of the well known characters played by Kapil include Shamsher Singh and Lala Roshan Lal, a Punjab Police Inspector.
He hosted a comedy show Chhote Miyan and Jhalak Dikhla Jaa season 6 on Colors. He won comedy series Comedy Circus Ke Superstars. At CNN-IBN Indian of the Year awards, he was felicitated with Entertainer of the Year award for 2013 by Amol Palekar. In 2014 Lok Sabha Election, he was declared the Brand Ambassador by Delhi election commission. He was to make his film debut with Yashraj film’s Bank Chor, but the comedian opted out of it. He was featured as a first guest on the opening episode of the famous Indian television game show Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 8 on the 17th of August.
Kapil  has established his own production house named K9 Productions. He has launched his recent show “Comedy Nights-With Kapil” under his production house. This show earned popularity over the night.Lots of big stars and directors of Bollywood came on this show to promote their films which makes this show really valuable.
