Fardeen Khan is an Indian film actor known for his work in Bollywood. Fardeen made his Hindi film acting debut in 1998 with Prem Aggan, for which he garnered the Filmfare Best Debut Award. Fardeen Khan is the son of Sundri and famed Indian actor/director Feroz Khan, who is originally from Bangalore. While he was brought up in India, Fardeen studied abroad. Fardeen's father is Muslim and of Afghan (Pathan) ethnicity.


Fardeen Khan had completed a degree in business management at the University of Massachusetts Amherst before the acting bug bit him. He also trained at Kishore Namit Kapoor's Acting Institute.


Khan made his debut in November 1998 with Prem Aggan which was directed by his father.The film got a lukewarm response at the Box office but his career got resurrected in a film by Ram Gopal Varma 'Jungle' which did moderate business.After that,he got numerous offers from acclaimed directors and his career graph showed a steady progress.


In 2005 he starred in the multi-starrer comedy No Entry which was the year's highest grossing film. Since then, his succeeding films have not done well. His recent 2007 release was Heyy Babyy which has taken an impressive start at the box office and could look set to be one of the years biggest hits.[1]. He is currently working in a film which also stars Shahrukh Khan ,Sushmita Sen and Tara Sharma in pivotal roles. He is also working on an animated film titled EKEH 2.0 (Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena) which will feature music by The Bilz and Kashif.


Fardeen Khan comes from a distinguished film family; his father is actor and director Feroz Khan and his uncle is actor Sanjay Khan. His cousins are actor Zayed Khan and designer Sussanne Roshan, who is married to Hrithik Roshan.He was involved in many scandals before he made an entrance in Bollywood.He was romantically linked with Model Roheen Khan but they broke up.Fardeen khan was also involved in an affair with Mahesh Bhatt's daughter Pooja Bhatt when Fardeen was studying in the University Of Massachusetts but after dating they broke up. After his father Feroz Khan's death, Fardeen Khan has been through some tough times.




No more tears for Fardeen and his lovely wife Natasha. After years of waiting-and a very tragic miscarriage last year, which left the couple shattered-Fardeen and Natasha are finally the proud parents of a daughter.




"We've named her Diani Isabella Khan," says Fardeen from London barely able to contain the joy in his voice. "Why this name? Well,

Fardeen and his wife have been through hell in recent times. Motherhood has been an uphill struggle for Natasha. Fardeen Khan was born to the famous actor and director Feroz Khan and Sundari Khan. He made his debut in the film industry with home production film "Prem Agan" along with another newcomer Meghna Kothari. Though the film bombed at box office yet Fardeen went on to win the Filmfare Best Debutant Award for his performance. For almost one year there were no offers to Fardeen khan but he didn't give up. Ram Gopal Verma spotted him at a party and offered him a role opposite Urmila Mantodkar in his movie "Jungle". This film was super hit and Fardin Khan was noticed by the film industry. This was followed by many films but all of them failed to do any magic at box office.


Fardeen Khan was appreciated for his role in the movies "Om Jai Jagdish" and "Khushi". Fardeen's other films like "Bhoot" and "Dev" did well and helped him to establish as an actor. Fardin's "No Entry" and "Hey Baby" also did well. Fardeen is married to Natasha Madhwani, daughter of former actress Mumtaz and business tycoon Mayur Madhwani. Has a step sister named Sonia ( Shahani) Sethia. She was from mother Sundari's previous relationship. Sonia passed away in a tragic car accident in 2012. Sonia had worked in Qurbani as the "Contunity Girl". She was billed as Sony Shahani.

Uncle Sharooq Khan migrated to Iran and married a lady of Iranian descent. Their son and ( Fardeen's cousin) Reza Khan is a upcoming Bollywood model and actor.

Uncle Sameer Khan's real name was Ahmed Khan. After retiring from films he became a real estate tycoon.

Signed for Akshaye Khanna's role in Race but had to opt out due his dates clashing with Heyy Babyy.

In 2005 , dad Feroz Khan launched a new movie " Shaadi.Com". To be produced by Feroz and Directed by Hansal Mehta Starring Fardeen , Celina Jaitley and Paresh Rawal. The film was shelved a few months later.

Was the first choice for Neil Nitin Mukesh 's role in Jail. Sunil Shetty was to do Manoj Bajapyee 's role.

Dad Feroz Khan had bought the Hindi remake rights for Tamil film Kaakha Kaakha. He was to produce the film with Fardeen in the lead. After his demise the films rights lay with Fardeen Khan. As a good will gesture, Fardeen gave the films rights for free to Vipul Shah.

After the release of Prem Aggan, the first film Fardeen signed was Partho Gosh's " Chaiyaan Chaiyaan". It was to star himself and Preity Zinta. Partho Gosh decided to shelve the film a year later.

Uncle Sharooq Khan married the sister of Iranian model Bita Vahdati. Bita is the aunt of actor /Reza Khan.

Uncle Akbar Khan has a son named Abraiz and a daughter named Aliyah.

Uncle Shahrooq Khan has two sons. Reza Khan and Mohammed Ali Khan ( Dali).

Brother in law of actor Shaad Randhawa . ( Wife Natasha's cousin).

Starred in Neeraj Pathak's shelved film " Maati". Starring Manoj Bajpayee and Mahima Chaudhary. The film was scrapped after being announced.

Once was a distant relative to actress Neelam through marriage. His step sister Sonia Sahani (Sethia) was married to Rajendra Sethia. Neelam's ex husband Rishi Sethia is the nephew of Rajendra Sethia.

Not to be confused with the nephew of actress Sonia Sahani. His elder step sister Sonia Sahani (Sethia) has the same name. For years people were mistaken that Sonia Sahani (Sethia) was Fardeen Khan's aunt. But she was in fact mother Sundari Khan's first born daughter from a previous relationship.

Brother in law of world famous business tycoon Rajendra Sethia. Rajendra was married to Fardeen's elder half sister Sonia Sethia (Sahani). Rajendra was previously married to a woman named Lakshmi who he had 2 daughter's with.

Was engaged to model/Mumbai Socialite Ruheen Jaiswal.

Dad Feroz Khan's youngest sister Dilshad Begum Sheikh was married Javed Sheikh ( Not the actor). Javed was the sole owner of a timber empire in Shrinagar, Kashmir. They have 3 daughter's. Shahala, the owner of a famous furniture company " Woodfort". Sabah Singh, Entrepreneur of a candle company called " Illuminati". Sheba, a housewife and mother of two kids.

Dad Feroz Khan's eldest sister was married and settled in Bombay. Her name is Khurshid Shahnavar. Her husband Mr. Shahnavar passed away.

Dad Feroz Khan's youngest sister Dilshad Sheikh is a famous Socialite in Kashmir and Delhi. She recently started her own clothing line "Chosen Few" The reason she chose the name was because she is very selective who she sells her clothes to.

After Sundari Khan, Dad Feroz Khan was engaged to Jyotika Dhanrajgir, a former air hostess. They were engaged for a very long time. Her sister Miss Sabrina Dhanrajgir, was the costume designer in Yalgaar.(1992).They both hail from the famous Dhanrajgir family.

Dad Feroz Khan's youngest sister Dilshad Begum Sheikh is often mistaken as singer Dilshad Begum . This is due to the both of them having the same name.

Dad Feroz Khan's younger sister Dikshad Sheikh is the organizer of the world famous Sufi music festival "Jahan E Khusrao" in Delhi.

Cousin's names are Shahala, Sabah and Sheba. They are the daughters of aunt Dilshaad Begum Shaikh.

Aunt Zarine Khan ( Sanjay Khan's wife ) was a famous model in the 1960's and acted in the film Tere Ghar Ke Saamne.

Brother in law is DJ Aqeel. Married to his cousin Farah.

After shelving " Qurbaan Tujhpe Mere Jaan" in 2000, Feroz Khan launched " Tera Saath Hain Kitna Pyaara". The film was to star Fardeen Khan and Aishwarya Rai. It was to be produced and directed by Feroz Khan. The films title was taken from a song from Feroz Khan's earlier hit film " Janbaaz"..Feroz ended up shelving the film when Aishwarya Rai opted out of the film.

Was the original choice for Sanjay Kapoor's role in Shakti - The Power.

Starred in Shubi Mukherjee' s shelved film, " Dil Deke Dekho". Directed by Lawrence DSouza , co starring Amisha Patel, Sucheta and Farida Jalal.

In October 1999, Feroz Khan launched " Qurban Tujhpe Mere Jaan". The film was to star Ajay Devgan, Aishwarya Rai and Fardeen Khan. The big venture was to be produced and directed by Feroz Khan. It was a love story set with the backdrop of the film industry. After six months, Feroz decided to shelve the film.

Starred in Mahesh Manjrekar untitled film. Co starring Jackie Shroff , Manisha Koirala. The film was eventually shelved.

Starred in E Niwas' s shelved film co starring Manoj Bajpai and opposite Raveena Tandon. He was playing a lawyer.

After his film Janasheen, Feroz Khan was starting a film titled "Nasha". The film was to star himself with Amitabh Bachchan, Fardeen Khan, Aishwarya Rai and Lopsang. But due to increased interest in remakes, Feroz shelved the project and opted to remake Qurbani.

Was signed for Indra Kumar's Masti along with Saif Ali Khan and Bipasha Basu. Later they were replaced by Aftab, Ritesh and Lara Dutta.

Starred in Sanjay Gupta's shelved film " Dostana". Co starring Sanjay Dutt and Shilpa Shetty .

Starred in Boney Kapoor's shelved film "Vaali" which was to be a remake of a South film of the same name. It was to be directed by Surya, the original director of the film. Co starring Kareena Kapoor. Fardeen Khan was to play a double role.

Starred in Kunal Shivdasani's shelved film " Idhar Udhar" . Co starring Sushmita Sen, Ritesh Deshmukh. Produced by Ambika Hinduja. This was in 2006.

Was the first choice for Aftab's role in De Taali.

Starred in Puneet Sira's shelved film " Maidaan" co starring Zayed Khan. This was to be produced by Nitin Manmohan on the year 2005.

Subhash Ghai was toying with the idea of casting him in the film " Taal" while scripting it in 1997. But father Feroz Khan wanted Fardeen to concentrate on his home production " Prem Aggan" and not do any outside films. This made it easier for Subhash Ghai to make his decision.

Signed Ram Gopal Varma's "Darna Mana Hai " but later opted out.

Starred in Pahlaj Nihalani' s shelved film opposite Preeti Jhangiani. Saif Ali Khan also was in the film. Directed by Sameer Malkan.This was in 2001.

Starred in Sanjay Gupta' s shelved film " Jazbaa". Co starring Sanjay Dutt, Sunil Shetty, Aftab Shivdasani. This was in 2007.

Starred in Sanjay Gupta's shelved film " Kaante 2". Co starring Sanjay Dutt , Arjun Rampal, Sunil Shetty, Sanjay Dutt was writing the screenplay. It was to be shot in New York. This was in 2007.

Producer Tahir Hussein wanted to make a film title " Do Lamhe Zindagi Ke" co starring Hyder Ali Khan (Aamir Khan's youngest step brother), Amisha Patel, Bipasha Basu. He approached Vikram Bhatt to direct it. The film was shelved after announcement.

Was approached for Priyanshu's role in Dil Ka Rishta.

Starred in Govinda's shelved home production " Shaadi Banayega". Co starring Govinda, Sanjay Dutt , Jackie Shroff, Javed Jaffery. Directed by Hadi Abrar who is the son of Bollywood Legend Kum Kum. This was in 2008.

His cousin is married to Rekha's niece.

Fardeen Khan subsequently appeared in numerous commercial successful films like Jungle co-starring Sunil Shetty and Urmila Matondkar, Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega co-starring Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, Aftab Shivdasani and Twinkle Khanna, Bhoot co-starring Ajay Devgan, Urmila Matondkar, Nana Patekar, Rekha and Seema Biswas, No Entry co-starring Anil Kapoor, Salman Khan, Lara Dutta, Bipasha Basu, Esha Deol and Celina Jaitley, Heyy Babyy co-starring Akshay Kumar, Ritesh Deshmukh, Juanna Sanghvi, Vidya Balan, Boman Irani and Anupam Kher, All the Best: Fun Begins co-starring Sanjay Dutt, Bipasha Basu, Ajay Devgn and Mugdha Godse, among other films.




Shuddering at the memory of what they've been through Fardeen says, "Natasha handled the traumatic times with amazing restraint. I don't know what I'd have done if she had fallen apart. But she held herself together and that gave me strength. Watching her handle her trauma with such restraint gave me the strength to live through the trying times we went through. Now that we are out of the ordeal I can see how much Natasha has gone through."




There is only joy now, though the family misses the patriarch Feroz Khan sorely.




Says Fardeen, "Yes, we all wish he was here to share this moment of joy with us. But life can't be controlled by desire. There's consolation in the fact that a part of him is in Diani just as a part him was in me. We live on through our children. I am sure somewhere he is watching and sharing in our joy."




Fardeen's little darling won't return to Mumbai before April 2014. "There are all the vaccinations. Diani can only travel after they're done. So she won't return home until April. I'll be in Mumbai in January briefly and then I am back here in London. During the last two years, I've been shuttling in and out of Mumbai and London. Finally it's all been worth it. One look at Diani Isabella's face and all the pain of the past years is washed away."



He is married to Natasha Madhwani, the daughter of former actress Mumtaz and business tycoon Mayur Madhwani. The two were engaged in a private ceremony in London on May 6, 2005. The marriage ceremony took place on December 14, 2005 via a registration service. The ceremony itself was conducted according to Muslim and Hindu rites.


On May 4, 2001 Fardeen along with drug pedler Naseer Abdul Kareem Khan were arrested after the former attempted to purchase cocaine from the latter at an ATM centre Juhu Vile Parle Development Scheme, a Mumbai suburb. The police caught Naseer and Fardeen with 9g of cocaine.
