Himesh Reshammiya is an Indian music director, singer, producer, lyricist, distributor and actor. Himesh Reshammiya is an Indian music director, singer, actor, television producer, lyricist, film producer, script writer and distributor. He is best known for singing a variety of songs in films. He has started directing music at a very early age of 16. He has also played an active role as a mentor and as a judge for the television reality show "Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge" and The Voice India on &TV. He made his acting debut with the movie "Aap Kaa Surroor - The Real Luv Story". He was seen in the film Teraa Surroor. Himesh Reshammiya was born on July 23, 1973 in Mumbai, India. He has completed his schooling in Hill Grange High School, Mumbai. As soon as he was done with his primary education, he started his music career with Doordarshan Ahmedabad and Zee TV. His Popular Zee TV serial were Andaz, Amar Prem, Jaan, Ashiqui, Dum Dama Dum to name a few. He then got the opportunity with HMV to do the a music album with Suchitra Krishnamoorthi titled Zindagi. He is the first Indian to have performed at the Wembley Stadium, London. Himesh Reshammiya was seen in the film Teraa Surroor which was a sequel to his 2007 Aap Ka Surroor. It also starred Kabir Bedi, Nasseruddin Shah and Shekhar Kapur in pivotal roles. Himesh Reshammiya got his first break to compose music for Salman Khan starrer "Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya" followed by Yeh Hai Jalwa, Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge and many more. He has done playback singing for the Aashiq Banaya Aapne, which gained him huge popularity.

In August 2010, it was announced that music video director Roman White is going to direct videos of Reshammiya's first international english album titled as "Da Edge", which will be released in 2016. Himesh is not only involved in singing and music but also in acting. He was seen in Bollywood film "The Xpose".The Voice India was a singing reality show which aired on &Tv. Sunidhi Chauhan, Shaan, Himesh Reshammiya and Mika were seen as judges in the show. The winner of the show was Pawandeep RajanHimesh is all set to star in Essel Vision's next film titled Heeriye. This film is also the first ever collaboration between Essel Vision and Himesh's HR Musik. The movie deals with social, romantic and sensitive drama set in Kanpur. The makers will select the heroine of the film through an innovative campaign called #FindingHeeriye. Himesh Reshammiya was born to Vipin Reshammiya, who is the veteran music director and Gujarati musician and Madhu Reshammiya who is a house-wife. His family origin is Bhavnagar in Gujarat. Just at the age of 21, he got married to Komal and the couple is blessed with a son Swayam. The singer/composer turned actor Himesh Reshammiya is a successful music composer and singer and has also acted in a number of movies opposite successful actresses in the Hindi Film industry. Himesh Reshammiya’s well known for his penchant for experimenting with his looks. Himesh Reshammiya was born to Vipin Reshammiya and Madhu Reshammiya in Bhavnagar, Gujarat.

He tasted the success as a music director in Salman Khan’s Tere Naam (2003). After that, he composed music for the film, Aashiq Banaya Aapne, as a singer, and songs like Tera Suroor, Zara Jhoom Jhoom and Tanhaiyan went on to become hits.

After rendering his voice later he started acting. His first film, Aap Kaa Surroor - The Real Luv Story was a success, but two of his later films did not do well at the box office.

On March 11, 2011, it was announced that Himesh was all set to make a Hollywood debut with a French director. The film is known as A * Is Killed and is based upon the mysterious death of world famous Pop Star Michael Jackson.

Another of his upcoming films, titled A New Love Ishstory has been on hold for more than two years by Bhushan Kumar. However Bhushan said he will release the film after Dama Damm (Ishq Unplugged) is finished.

He has recently composed the music of Bodyguard (2011 film) which was originally supposed to be composed by Pritam Chakraborty, but Salman Khan asked Himesh to compose it.

Himesh was in trouble when he added a song Tanhaiyaan from Boney Kapoor's proposed film Milenge Milenge in his debut film Aap Kaa Surroor - The Real Luv Story. Tips, which held the audio rights of Milenge Milenge, accused Reshammiya of copyright violation, as audio rights for Aap Kaa Surroor - The Real Luv Story were acquired by T-Series.

Himesh defended himself saying that he had made Kapoor listen to the song, but it wasn't included in Milenge Milenge. He also claimed to have tried to get in touch with Kapoor for seven months, and since there was no progress on the film, he decided to use the song for his own movie.
