Sanjay Kapoor is a Bollywood actor and producer. Sanjay Kapoor (born 17 October 1965 in Mumbai, India) is a Bollywood actor and the brother of actor Anil Kapoor and producer Boney Kapoor and brother-in-law of actress Sridevi. His sister Reena is married to Sandeep Marwah of Marwah Films Video Studios and The Asian Academy of Film Television. He is the son of Surinder Kapoor, who is also a film producer. He is married to an NRI from Perth(Australia), Maheep Sandhu. He has in the past been romantically linked to Tabu with whom he starred in a movie with as well as Sushmita Sen. He began his career opposite Tabu in the film Prem. It did average business at the box office. It was Raja opposite Madhuri Dixit that brought him box office success and he became a star overnight. This was followed by many films which flopped or did reasonably well at the box office. Though not as successful as his brother, he has managed to get positive reviews from the critics and audiences. He has given critically acclaimed performances as a villain playing the obsessive psychotic husband of Esha Deol in Koi Mere Dil Se Poochhe and playing a terrorist in the film Qayamat: City Under ThreatThe first child of Sanjay and Maheep Kapoor is a daughter named Shanaya. The second child is a son, born in Bombay's Breach Candy Hospital, named Jahaan, during the month of June, 2005.

Often confused with Karishma Kapoor's husband Sanjay Kapur and Bollywood cinematographer Sanjay Kapoor.

His wife, Maheep Sandhu, was to be launched as a heroine in the film Shivam in 1997. She was to co star with Raaj Kumar's younger son Panini Raajkumar and Nirmal Pandey. The film was shelved after its announcement.

Starred in Adeep Singh's film "Mukt" opposite Aditi Govitrikar. This was in 2000. Whene he and Aditi dropped out of the film, they were replaced by Rocky Khanna and Sonali Kulkarni. The film' s title was then changed to "Adharam".

In 2004, Sanjay Kapoor decided to turn independent producer and signed Vikram Bhatt . The film was going to be a period drama. After a few months, Sanjay shelved the film. The budget went up to 12 crores and he felt that was too much.

Wife Maheep Sandhu appeared in Ila Arun's pop video "Nigori Kaisi Jawani Hain" in 1994.

Starred in the shelved film " Thodi Masti Masti Thodi Dhoom" (2005). starring Sanjay Kapoor, Hrishtaa Bhatt, Baba Sehgal ( As Villain), Parmita Katkar. The film was a comedy that was based on the Hollywood movie "Charlie's Angel". The film was directed by Vicky Ranawat.

Starred in Sudhakar Bokade's completed and unreleased film " Why...Kyon" Starring Sanjay Kapoor, Jatin Garewal, Sanjay Singh. Directed by Partho Ghosh. This was in 2004. It was a fast paced thriller.

His wife Maheep, was born in Delhi. She went to school in London. She studied fashion designing in Australia. When she jet-hopped to Kuwait, where her father is a Charted Accountant, she found it "oh-so-boring" and chose to walk the Delhi ramp as a model. Thenshe's being introduced in Shivam, opposite Panini Raaj Kumar. Maheep Sandhu, earlier only known as Sanjay Kapoor's girlfriend, was in throes of establishing her own identity. With a va-va-voom figure and a congenial personality, there's no reason why she should have lingered in the dim-lit discos.
